This workshop brings together writers, performers, and total newcomers for a high-energy deep dive into what makes comedy work. We'll cover technique from the ground up — joke writing, stage presence, finding your voice, and most things in between. Whether you've been workshopping bits for years or you've never held a mic, we look forward to working out with you.  Come ready to laugh, learn, work, and discover. No experience required. A sense of humor certainly helps.

Michaela King is a Nevada City-based stand up comedian, producer, musician and actor. Co-founder of The Bvnkr, she has produced open mics and shows in Nevada County for quite a few years and performed around the western US.
