Featuring Salif Bamakora (Gordon Hellegers), a kora musician of over 25 years and primary student of Madou Sidiki Diabaté for 20 years, this gathering weaves traditional Mande Djeliya repertoire with the cultural and historical currents that shaped it. Salif is a seasoned presenter on world stages, a foundational member of SIMRIT, and a periodic collaborator with Estas Tonne. Expect traditional gems, original compositions, and spontaneous improvisation.
