Ambrosia Fee Structure

 
Ambrosia is committed to keeping attendee ticket fees low, ensuring affordability for both organizers and attendees. We believe in providing a high-quality, valuable experience without the burden of multiple, costly subscriptions or hidden charges. While in our beta phase of development, we’re offering an accessible, subscription-free platform. Ambrosia ensures that the fees attendees pay go directly toward the software we provide, empowering organizers to manage their own amazing businesses and retain more control over their event revenue.
 
Platform, credit card processing, ACH or bank transfer fees and taxes are added to the ticket price set by the Organizer and are paid by the event attendee.

There is no charge for free tickets
Platform fee
Attendee paid platform fees for tickets are calculated as $1 per $100 per ticket* and add-ons are calculated as 5% per add-on. This fee covers Ambrosia Events’ development and services.
Credit Card Processing fee
Attendee paid credit card processing fees are calculated as a flat 5% + $0.30c per transaction. This fee covers costs associated with the payment transaction and passed to the attendee. Note: Credit Card processing fees are visually bundled with the platform fee at checkout to reduce confusion for attendees.
ACH or bank transfer fee
For ACH or bank transfer the processing fees are calculated as 1% per ticket or add-on and passed to the attendee at checkout.
Surcharge taxes or fees
Surcharge taxes/fees may be calculated as a fixed amount or percent of the ticket or add-on price, when enabled by the organizer. This fee covers any taxes or surcharges required for the ticket type per local, federal or state rules. These fees are added for the attendee at checkout and it’s the organizers responsibility to remit taxes collected.
Disputes or chargebacks
Paid by the Organizer, payment disputes or chargebacks will result in a non-refundable $15.00 fee per chargeback transaction plus platform and credit card processing fees for any dispute loss, which will be deducted from the event payout or charged to the organizer. Stripe charges an additional $15.00 fee to counter a dispute which is refunded to the organizer should the dispute be won by the organizer. Organizers will be notified by Ambrosia when they receive a dispute or chargeback.
  • *For reference, our platform fee structure is best categorized as a tiered flat-fee model—where the fee increases in fixed increments based on the ticket price range. Examples: A $50 ticket has a $1 platform fee (for tickets up to $100) and a $210 ticket has a $2 platform fee (for tickets up to $300) and so on.
Organizer absorb fees
  • We offer a feature to give organizers the choice to absorb the platform and processing fees, giving attendees a seamless, all-inclusive price with no additional fees at checkout. By default, the fee is passed to attendees, but organizers can choose to cover it instead. If that choice is made, the fees will be automatically deducted from the organizer's payout. To keep things clear, the Insights tab will reflect actual earnings after fees, ensuring full transparency in your reporting.
