Elizabeth Castaneda has been a dedicated dance teacher and choreographer for over twenty-five years. She began her dance journey under the guidance of Arletta Howard-Logan at the Youth Ballet Theater of Austin, where she also received extensive training from the Royal Academy of Dance.
Continuing her education, Elizabeth majored in dance at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. A pivotal moment in her career came when she was inspired by a performance of Alonzo King LINES Ballet, leading her to attend the LINES summer program in San Francisco in 2003 and their Year-Round Training Program in 2004.
Elizabeth's professional journey took her on a tour across the United States and Canada for four months as a dancer and co-choreographer with Carpetbag Brigade, a physical theater group. She later co-created The Fossettes, an entertainment ensemble inspired by the stylings of Bob Fosse, which performed throughout the Bay Area and California for over ten years.
In 2014, Elizabeth and her twin sister Melissa established their company, Sister Magic. Sister Magic has produced several full-length rock opera circus spectaculars for the Burning Man festival and has performed on stages nationwide. Elizabeth's rich experience and passion for dance continue to inspire and influence dancers across the country.
